Credit for prior learning allows students to earn curriculum credit for their previous non-curriculum academic experiences and training.

Active Duty Military and Veteran Students

跳级


A student who scores three or above on most 跳级 tests 管理istered by the College Board will receive appropriate college credit and advanced placement. For math and science 跳级 tests, a minimum score of four is required to receive appropriate college credit and advanced placement. Students taking 跳级 tests should have the score reports sent to the Office of 招生 and Records for evaluation. 参考 AP信用图 for current scores and college credit awards.

Specific state and national certifications have been approved for potential curriculum credit in our Public Safety, 航空, 和汽车项目.

Questions concerning certification credit should be directed to the Public Safety or Transportation department or the Office of 招生 and Records.

College Level Examination Program (CLEP)


Credit may be allowed for up to 18 semester hours of college work based on appropriate scores on the CLEP General Examination. CLEP subject examinations are evaluated individually. 参考 CLEP信用图 for current scores and college credit awards.

Questions concerning CLEP credit should be directed to the Office of 招生 and Records.

Credit by examination may be allowed for a given course if a regularly enrolled student can demonstrate the required level of proficiency (“C” or better) as a result of previous academic or work experience. No credit by examination can be allowed for courses that have been previously audited. This credit will be based on a departmental examination at the discretion of and under the direction of the Department Chair in which the course is offered. The exam must be completed by the 10% point of the course. Credit hours will count toward graduation; they will not be computed in grade point average as grades and grade points will not be recorded. Applications for credit by examination must be processed in the Office of 招生 and Records. Course tuition at the current in-state or out-of-state rate must be paid except in case of full-time students taking 16 or more hours for whom there would be no additional charge. Credit by exam excludes a student from academic honors such as the President’s List or Dean’s List.

Students entering 澳门金沙棋牌游戏 from North Carolina public high schools may be awarded articulated credit as provided in the state agreement. 除了, students entering 澳门金沙棋牌游戏 from Wayne County Public Schools may be awarded articulated credit as provided in an agreement between the College and the school system.

学分转让


Educational work taken at a regionally accredited institution in which a grade of “C” or better was earned may be accepted in transfer.

Credits for transfer courses are not used in the computation of the student’s grade point average in the student’s program at 澳门金沙棋牌游戏.
